「The proprietors are Patels - they know how to run a great hotel/motel. Everything was great. Definitely do not book via Expedia, though -- just go to American Inn's website to book. Cheaper that way. And, Expedia is a horrible company! They will book you with hotels that do not honor the reservation! Expedia really sucks. That was my mistake - using Expedia. American Inn is great, though.」

「Grover beach is a lot less crowded than Pismo beach - not just the beach, but also the town. Beach access at Grover Beach, Monarch butterfly Grove, Vons (safeway), big chevron gas station are all with 5mins of driving and even walkable. Pismo beach is 10mins away. 「Our stay at the upstairs barn suite was great. The two beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and key for us was the AC worked really well! Unfortunately we visited during a heat wave (100+) so this was a big deal! The property is dog friendly (Thank you!!). In the morning, there's a cafe onsite staffed by a woman named Tran, who was so friendly and helpful. She made us delicious breakfast burritos and coffee.
