「We booked and paid for two nights in a 'Superior double with king-size bed and sea view'. We were struggling to sleep as the bed seemed rather small. Unfortunately, it wasn't until late on the second night that we worked out that our original booking been changed (our docket showed where staff had scrubbed out 'Room 117' and changed it to 'Room 216'. 「部屋は広く清潔だが、通路及び部屋のドア開閉音が、部屋に響く。上階の歩行音も大きい。駐車場があると聞いていたが、実際には路駐で駐車場所を探す必要がある。この近辺のホテルはどこも同じかもしれない。」

「昔ながらのスタイルのB&Bという感じで、建物は古そうでしたが綺麗で、スタッフもフレンドリーだしいい感じのホテルです。部屋は狭かったですが、風呂の湯もしっかりでたし、バスタブも大きめでいいです。部屋は海側ではなかったのですが、朝食会場からは海が見渡せてよかったです。雨の予報だったけど、晴れてきたので、バスツアーでセブンシスターズを見にゆきました。駅からスーツケースを引きずって行ったのはちょっときつかったけど、よく調べたらバスで行けたので、帰りはバスにしました。」

「とても良かった。 良い点、 1)部屋は広く明るく、暖かかった。 2)オーナーはとても親切だった。 重い荷物も部屋まで運んでくれた。 電球が切れていたので言ったらすぐ交換してくれた。 いつも会うといろいろ話しかけてくれた。 3)朝ごはんは8時から10時までで、イングリッシュブラックファスト、オムレツ、エッグベネディクト、ともう一つ忘れましたが、の4種類から好きに選べるだけでなく、ミックスしたり追加できたりした。 他にもフルーツやシリアル、パンやヨーグルトなどもあり、評判通り美味しかった 4)周りは静かだった。 いまいちだったところ。 1)エレベーターがない。これは知っていたので別に困らなかった。 2)シャワーの水圧が弱かった。これはほとんどのイーストボーン のホテルと同じ問題である。海辺なので水圧は弱いそうです。 でもバスタブはあったので、ゆっくりできた。 その他、 ベッドは私にはちょうどの硬さだったが、人によっては若干固く感じるかも。 」
