"I'll start this off by saying that it is a Motel 6, so I wasn't expecting much. The worker in the front was very kind and welcoming. They are pet-friendly, which I love! The floors were extremely dirty, and the bathroom stinks. The room wasn't clean, but it wasn't extremely dirty too. I couldn't walk around without a shoe or my socks because they would get completely black, and there were crumbs on the floor. Check-in and check-out were easy. "

"The vintage tiki theme of hotel was cool and the pool was huge. It was perfect on a very hot day! We had an issue with our room during the first night which we brought up to the staffs attention the next morning. They were beyond great at addressing the issue and making it right with us. I can’t stress enough how awesome the office staff is at wanting to make your stay an enjoyable one. Definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again next time we visit Palm Springs. "

"The property was average if you are spending just a weekend it is great. When we entered our room there was a smell coming from bathroom we could not make it out what it was. The showers were too small and in that small space they put up racks for shampoo and conditioner which could have been next to shower. "

"The pool area was clean and excellent. The rest if the facilities were in rather poor conditions. You can tell our room had a lot of water damage at some point, walls we worped, areas with damage were just painted over. Everything was extremely old. Carpets were not the best condition. Overall if your not too worried about the way your hotel looks, it was alright. The kids really enjoyed the pool. "

"Staff was amazing, very friendly, polite, and helpful. We really enjoyed all the areas they had for guests to sit, games were available for free as well. Beautiful view of the mountains and located within walking distance of restaurants and stores. My only complaint about the actual hotel was the limited lighting near the bathroom which is super minor and the pillows. I found the pillows to be uncomfortable. Staff were able to provide a few extra to help me out. We loved the mini bar set up by the pool. Pool:Unfortunately there was a large family that monopolized a few of the cabana beds and left for 3.5 hours during the day leaving their stuff on them and unused, with the pool being busy, many people were left without a spot to sit. Would definitely come back to the Dunes. "

"Apparently this hotel is under new ownership and it shows in the worst ways possible. The staff at the front desk were some of the rudest people I’ve ever had check me into any hotel in my life. One staff person, older woman with brown hair, was insanely unpleasant not just to me but to the people who were in front of me at check in and check out. There was another guy at the front desk with white hair who seemed to just straight up ignore people as they came in. Our room was not ready at 3 and we ended up having to wait until 4:15-ish for it. The new owners are now asking patrons to pay for parking in their lot which is something they’ve never done at this hotel and doesn’t make sense for the area of Palm Springs they’re located in. Our water temperature in the room never actually got warm, no matter how long we waited for it to heat up. We’ve stayed at the Ace for years now and this was the first time it was a bad experience. I’ll be staying at one of their neighbors who have more reasonable prices the next time I stay in Palm Springs. The only bright spot was one staff member who was checking people in (she wears glasses). She was very friendly, very helpful and is clearly too good to be stuck working at Ace these days. Hoping a better opportunity comes her way soon."

"I am writing regarding my recent stay at Desert Isle of Palm Springs on March 27–28, which I booked through Hotels.com. During my stay, I encountered numerous cockroaches inside my room. This was not an isolated incident—I recorded multiple videos documenting the issue. The presence of pests made the room unsanitary and effectively uninhabitable. This experience falls well below basic hospitality and health standards and is not consistent with what was advertised at the time of booking. Given the severity of the issue, I am requesting a full refund for my stay. I have also opened a case with Hotels.com and will be providing them with my documentation. Please let me know how you would like to resolve this matter promptly."
