The Tennis Club is legendary for it's amenities and good service. It's actually a time share, but if you're lucky there are some units available to the public at certain times. We actually used to be owners here, but find it more convenient for our lifestyle to simply book it when available. The grounds where the bungalows are located are maintained beautifully too. Don't miss all the great historic pictures in the lobby of the celebrities who've been there over the years! Highly recommended!

Reviewing Palm Springs Tennis Club is difficult. We've stayed there on 4 occasions over the years and the units have run the gamut from very good to barely passable. There are guest units in the main building and bungalows. Let's start with the main building. Our 1 bedroom apartment was in the back of the building and, although this is billed as a smoke free property, the stench of cigarette smoke was barely tolerable in our rooms with doors wide open... However, when residing in the main building you are offered underground parking which is a plus when the thermometer inches above 100 degrees. The bungalows are all different in layout and location within the well manicured grounds. Some are spacious with nice outdoor patio space and some I would consider sub-par. Our last stay was in the latter... the place was incredibly humid and moldy, the patio was practically non-existent, the bedroom chest of drawers was out of true and opened magically, and the inefficient air conditioner in the living room cycled on and off every few minutes. The main building is a bit frayed on the edges and could benefit from updating. The location, close to downtown Palm Springs (walking distance) is an asset. When booking, a choice of size is offered. The unit's location, whether in the main building or a bungalow, is "luck of the draw".

This is an older Resort but it is in a fantastic location. The walkability to everything downtown Palm Springs has to offer cannot be beat! My stay was comfortable, albeit, noisy. I think I had a room adjacent to where the housekeeping staff works,so that was constant. It sounded like they were moving furniture most of the day long. Additionally, my room faced the front of the resort and while I appreciated the fastidious groundskeeping, it was going on all day. So suck it up if you're a traveler, because you're not in the room that much!! I had a porch that I could sit outside and enjoy my morning coffee which they provided in the recreation room at no cost,so that was a bonus. All the staff I encountered were lovely. I did not use the pool so I can't speak to that, but I did enjoy the hot tub! My stay was comfortable, the bedding was top-notch.I had everything I needed in my little kitchenette.

The room was spotless, the view was fantastic, and the staff were so kind. You are just a short walk away from downtown and the hotel has any and all possible amenities you could ever need. Definitely recommend!

I loved our stay. Our room had a great view of the rock mountain. The pool was a great temp, the hot tubs were great, I never made it to the one up against the rock mountain it looked beautiful. I also love having a kitchen. Next visit I hope to use their bikes! It’s also in the perfect location for downtown.

Arrived to find that TV remote batteries were dead and bedroom TV remote was missing. They had no replacement batteries or replacement remote. It would be the afternoon of the next day until they could get some, so we couldn't watch TV for most of the two day stay. Carpet was soaking wet at entrance to one of the bathrooms, lamp lights were burnt out. All things that cleaning staff should have noticed. Had to take a cold shower since hot water never arrived for our post-hike, late-afternoon shower, even after running the water for 10-15 minutes (it was there later in the day). Staff were pleasant, polite and apologetic for the issues, but didn't really provide actual help (e.g. offer to go buy batteries, or find a working remote from empty room, etc.). Otherwise, property was well kept, rooms were clean and spacious with two bathrooms. Beds were comfortable and linens were good quality. You were also close to downtown, and located in a very peaceful, natural setting. Overall it was a good, not great stay and we might stay again if price was in line with mid-tier hotel, not the luxury hotel price we paid.
