"The facilities are fine. Clean and up-to-date for an older classic motel. Our bed really sagged on the side because the box springs are totally worn out. Not much problem when sleeping though. We stayed on a Saturday night and we were right at the top of the main stairs by the office. People were very noisy all night. I think there were some young people hanging out at the bottom of the stairs through the night. The motel is near a busy intersection. Although traffic was not heavy through the night, there were several loud cars and motorcycles with loud music, booming for several minutes at a time. If it were quieter, I would have rated this much higher. Bring earplugs!"

"We had a thoroughly satisfying stay at Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf. The location is unbeatable—it’s just a quick walk to the Pier and very close to the cable car station. The check-in process was a highlight: parking right at the entrance was easy, and the staff member, Jenny, was incredible. After learning that we had just gotten married, she kindly upgraded our room, which we truly appreciated. Our room faced the courtyard and was exceptionally quiet. While the hotel itself is a bit older, the facilities are very complete and well-maintained. The parking situation was also very convenient. We loved the 'seamless' touch of being able to return our room keys right at the parking exit after checking out. A truly smooth and wonderful experience!"

"Cow Hollow Inn is a solid choice. It offers good value, in an excellent and safe location in one of San Francisco’s best neighborhoods (if you’re visiting SF, it’s much better to stay in the Marina district than to stay downtown for myriad reasons) there are excellent dining, nightlife, and shopping options nearby on Chestnut and Union Streets and it’s an easy walk to the Marina Greens, the Palace of Fine Arts, Fisherman’s Wharf, etc On site parking is included, and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. You can get a 10% discount if you eat at Home Plate which is the restaurant next to the hotel. The restaurant is excellent. The check-in is a bit late, at 4 o’clock, so this is something to be mindful of depending upon your schedule. There’s nothing fancy in terms of room amenities, and the rooms are a little bit dated, but all and all it’s an excellent property. "
