Restaurant served excellent food however it was the only option available during our stay (end of March) and it was expensive and really not suitable for very young children. Also only one shop open with limited food options. Not so great for very small children- we could have purchased supplies to bring in if we had known. "Nicer Ryokan for the area. Obvious reason to stay is to visit the Shibu Onsen facilities and the Snow Monkey Park and this is a great option for those activities. Pretty close to the Shiga Kogen resort. Check the Map before booking as it is not in Nagano despite the address. Diner and breakfast with Half board was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Free shuttles were a bonus."
