"Excellent Ryokan. Breakfast and late night sake tasting included free. Very short walk to excellent local restaurants and train station. Very easy to access for tourists"
"The manager (owner?) and his wife were incredibly welcoming and pleasant. They take great pride in their hotel and it shows in every aspect of our stay. "
"Location is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If you want a beautiful traditional ryokan with access to the baths, clean showers and great service where the staff go extra without even asking then stay here.

"This hotel is fairly old-fashioned, but that’s what makes it unique. Despite the fairly decent condition of the room and the smell of smoke, it was alright. The con is we have to walk uphill to the bus terminal. "
"Many hot springs around. Need your own transport to get around. Went off season so maybe the dining options were limited.
Good place to unwind though."
