"This is a really special place to stay. The rooms are not huge but plenty big enough for our family. The hotel is run by o lovely couple who take great pride in giving guests a wonderful stay. We were greeted with a lot of warmth and we felt very welcome almost like visiting a family member. The food is fantastic. We had breakfast on the first day and there was plenty of fresh food to get us going for a days skiing. We decided we would book in for dinner that night. The food was stunning. We had a 7 course dinner that was amazing and so well cooked. You have to have dinner there. Compared to Australian prices and competitive value, you can’t beat eating here. We ate at another restaurant the previous night and it was no where near as tasty and as well cooked. This is one of the best places I have stayed and can’t recommend it highly enough."

"It was a fairly simple stay, with just the basics in the room. Since we live in Japan, were used to certain aspects of a hotel room here, such as a tea kettle and coffee, plus some cups - and we missed those things. On the other hand, it was great to sleep on a bed that was not as hard as most Japanese mattresses. The breakfast was nothing special, but it was definitely appreciated. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and it was a welcome treat to have them all speak English. Overall, the stay was nothing special, but it had everything we needed, and the location was excellent. I would likely stay here again."
