I would highly recommend this hotel. It is really a nice place, just 5-15 minutes away from the bus stop and Yubatake. This hotel is clean, both the room and the public area, staff are very friendly and welcoming.
We throughly enjoyed our stay. Super, beautiful hotel, a great staff at the front desk, dining, entertainment was a big surprise. I wished we stayed day or two longer. I would return again when opportunity arise. Thank you all to Sakurai. A Five Star and beyond.
We were greeted on arrival by the nicest staff. The lady that was in charge of showing us around was so sweet and informative. She gave us all her recommendation's for an excellent visit to kusatsu and they did not disappoint! We enjoyed the onsens, the new lounge, the drum show and the food! We had so much fun!
They are very patient and all employees have translator machines, they allowed me to check in early and take my bag to my room so I could walk around town. They got me a large yukata and food is wonderful. Room was clean and had extra futons for 5 more people, and the private onsen in room was amazing. Would go again someday
Greetings & services upon check in & ck out was super. The rooms were clean & big & had lots of space. Cute short entertainment in the evening. The buffet that’s included was just okay. Nothing special. I would prefer the traditional Japanese meals for the experience but we weren’t given the option to choose upon booking online. Only thing I would complain about is the slippers for small size 5 feet were not available so walking in big slippers hurt my toes & no baskets to bring to the onsen when I see some other women carrying it. Not sure if they were missing from the room.
The wear and tear is kind of showing throughout the establishment but it was nice overall. I was a little underwhelmed with the dinner buffet but the breakfast buffet was fantastic. I felt like I could’ve eaten something nicer down in the Yubataki area. Also the shower in the room barely had hot water. But the showers in the onsen area were perfect.
Beautiful property, clean, and friendly staff. Their onsen is one of the best. They have everything you need so you don’t really have to leave the property if you didn’t wantIt is walkable to Yubatake, but they also provide a free shuttle.
