"Staff was friendly and working hard. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated… but they’re fighting an uphill battle against an aging run down building with apparently a long-broken elevator for 6 floors. Great price on difficult to find lodging in the area."

The only restaurant I couldn’t recommend is the shabu-shabu restaurant as the portions were small and not much flavour for the money. Well kept rooms, ski/ board storage was great and the onsen was one of the best I’ve visited in Japan. "

"We enjoyed our stay. Great staff and service. Very clean and a good dinner buffet. The hotel is a bit of a hike uphill. Google maps might tell you to approach from the right, go behind the hotel and come around to the entrance. This route has a bunch of uneven steps and is somewhat steep. It’s better to approach from the left side up a paved road with an even incline."
