"Wonderful stay! Our room was great, spacious and clean and the owner was incredibly kind and friendly. It does kind of feel like you are entering someone’s house as there isn’t really a hotel style front desk but I thought it added to the charm. And their little mascot is adorable!! Definitely recommend."

"By far the best place I’ve stayed at in Japan I will definitely be back!"

"The stay was fantastic! They made us feel very welcomed and the rooms are big. Everything was very clean. "

"Tucked in a quiet street with easy access to restaurants and public transport this hotel made our stay perfect. They have easy access to good complementary coffee, tea etc in the communal area."

"It states "Hotel" through Expedia but it is more like authentic vacation home. Great for two people, heating was spotty, great Tea room and smoke area in back patio. Very close to Inari Shrines and JR station lines and a 3min walk from a grocery store. "

"The room was big and comfy. I really enjoyed my time there"

"1階の「鴨」という部屋に泊まりました。大通りの車の音は全く聞こえず、落ち着いて滞在できました。部屋の設備はシンプルながら高級感があり、中でも檜風呂は贅沢な気分になれました。 子連れで外食するには不便な立地だと感じました。部屋にミニキッチンがあり、食器やお茶類も揃っているので、おばんざいを買ってきて部屋で食べるのも良いと思います。"

"Great location! It's only a little walk to get to Inari Shrine! They were also very friendly and welcoming!"

"A lovely little locally run Ryokan. Staff friendly and helpful, ready with local advice."

"Nice stay in a place of your own in Kyoto. Kids loved sleeping on the Futons and being in a traditional home. Situated conveniently from a subway station as well (about 500 meters). Place clean and cosy."
