The NEST at Nishiki is both a new and an exceptional property. The rooms were spotless and functional, the staff was extremely attentive, and the location was just perfect--steps from the Nishiki Market and the Gion district. Yet the single most outstanding feature of the NEST at Nishiki is its manager, Ms. Chie Nakamura. She is professional, knowledgeable, a top-notch hotelier, and a wonderful person. Staying at this hotel was definitely a highlight of our trip. The location is unbeatable—right across from Kyoto Station, but as soon as you step inside, it's like entering another world. It's so peaceful that you'd never guess you were just steps from the hustle and bustle of the station. The rooms were sleek, comfortable, and had a modern vibe. The bathroom was fantastic too—really added to the whole luxurious feel. The staff were incredibly friendly. And get this, they even had a robot...
