「We had Heritage Room 4 for a two night stay. Very spacious room and large ensuite. Lots of windows, so lots of fresh air and light. Very clean and comfortable. Bar and restaurant were of a very high standard too. Friendly/polite staff, good range of drinks options and the food was superb. Absolutely recommend this venue for a stay.」

「We booked the Fortune Hotel to use as a base whilst we were attending a wedding near Halifax. The hotel is in an ideal location just off the M62. In fact the motorway runs right alongside the hotel however don't let that put you off because you wouldn't know due to the excellent job they have done at the hotel to eradicate the noise. The staff are some of the friendliest we have encountered and they couldn't do enough for us. They are a credit to the hotel. Our room was clean, tidy and contained...

「Public areas and services were good but there was a wedding reception the first night of our stay so the music was loud and intrusive whilst we were having a drink in the bar area. Customer service and food were good. We were not impressed with our Superior room. Both the room and the bathroom were small, particularly the bathroom. The position of the heated towel rail meant it was very difficult to reach. The wardrobe wooden sliding doors were heavy and very difficult to move.」

「We had a nice stay here. The only bug bear was that there was not much fruit at breakfast. I do not eat fry ups in the morning. The only fruit was apples. Maybe a dish of mixed fruit or bananas would have been nice. The staff were really pleasant and the hotel itself was fine for our 2-day stay. The bedroom could have been a little bit more updated, paint off in most places, the en-suite was old fashioned, could be done up more modern really.」

「Was sent away and had a hard night due to a surprise £100 deposit that’s never listed which gets returned 4-5 working days later . I asked for a refund of the room and was denied and sent away. Very horrible hotel Would sue」

「Hotel itself was little old but it's all cleaned well and the room was spacious. Staff are super helpful and fulfilled all my needs, very professional and gentle. Location is 10min walk from station and easy access. Overall it's a great place with good value. I'll defnetely stay again. 」

「My room looked like they had just changed the bedding and even that had black hairs on it (im fair haired). Hairs in the bath , toothpaste all up the bathroom mirror and on the floor like it had dripped out of someones mouth and dried. Should have read the reviews . Wont make that mistake again.」

「Location of hotel was good - walking distance to most places including the train stations and really close to the museum. Hotel didn't offer dental kits. No mini-bar or fridge in the room either. Only stayed for 1 night so was okay.」

「We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy...

「A small privately owned hotel, good situation for a visit to Saltaire. Many people arrived by train which was a short walk away. The owner was very helpful, even writing us a map to Saltaire.」
