The local church bells add such a lovely, traditional touch to the stay. We also spent some time at The White Lion pub, which we’d definitely recommend to other travelers. "really enjoyed our stay ,when checking in at reception staff were really helpful and very polite and friendly the cookie we received was a very nice touch .Room was very clean plenty of space to put our belongings. Bed was so comfortable. On our return back to hotel we went to the sky lounge, again staff very polite and friendly. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends and family."

"Disappointed unfortunately. Blood stain on mattress protector and although the bedroom was large, the furniture was shabby and in need of replacement. The spa area was tired. Some of the grout needs replacing. One member of breakfast staff was really stolen could not even crack a smile. My husband ordered some champagne to the room as a birthday surprise but despite 2 Reminders they still did not bring it. This was probably a nice hotel once unfortunately now not great."

"The room was clean, with a few small rubbish from previous guest. The room itself is quite dated, but that is the nature of the building. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and cheerful. They deserve great praise. Wifi was reliable. The breakfast was tasty and a classic full English breakfast. Coffee machines provided tasty coffee too."
