「Cashed in some one key points for night away . Took the scenic route from Gateshead and visited Richmond , Aysgarth Falls , Grassington and Thirsk on the way . Had a couple of beers in the beer garden , freshened up then a gorgeous meal in the orangery. So glad we had booked as they were turning people away ! The staff were excellent- friendly , courteous and attentive. Lovely relaxing night away , helped by the English heatwave .」

「The hotel is well situated, it took about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to town, on a nice day it's a pleasant stroll. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable.Tea and coffee facilities were also provided. The staff in the pub were very welcoming and friendly. We had an evening meal which was tasty and reasonably priced.
