「Its restaurant serves great food and local beer. The fish and chips is the best one I have ever had. My friend enjoyed vegan meals. They also serve a variety of breakfast including fresh fruit and drinks. The room is prettily decorated and bathroom is clean and wide with a fancy bath tab. 」

「For an overnight stay on a budget, this was fantastic. The bed was comfy, decent pillows and duvet, the sheets and towels were lovely and clean and I really liked the brand of toiletries. The hotel/pub is really big and could do with some updating, but this would needs huge investment, so I'm not surprised at overall condition, but it's functional, clean and tidy. If you're staying a night, its facilities are unusually generous and extensive; if you're eating, the menu and the food are great; and if you just want a drink, there's a bar area and plenty of seating outside. The staff are lovely. Plus there's plenty of local information, books, games and events, not to mention a farm shop. If you can tear yourself away, visit Wayland's Smithy a couple of miles away along the Ridgeway.」

「一階はパブです。結婚式で盛り上がっていましたが部屋の中は静かでした。 バスルームは広くて綺麗です。なぜか頭蓋骨の絵が飾ってありました。寝室は必要なものは全て揃っていますが、スーツケースを開けるスペースがありません。ベッドの上か、浴室でどうぞ。エレベーターはないです。 駐車場は奥にあって、停めるにはレセプションで行き方を教えてもらってぐるっとまわらばくてはなりません。パブの奥なので歩いて行くのは簡単です。」

「The bedrooms and halls probably needed to be refurbished 30 years ago. They certainly are long overdue a completely overhaul today. The bathroom was grimy and there was no excuse for not providing a single chair in the room. What was the point in providing even the tired dressing/table desk without one?」
