Staff were all very friendly, room was lovely with some minor damage to paintwork in certain areas but overall very nice. Only thing I would say is the room was sweltering, windows only open a fraction so no way of cooling the room down, even bringing our own fan was no help. The rooms could do with having aircon fitted as that’s the only thing stopping us from returning! Other than that it was a pleasant stay!

A lovely bright hotel and our family room was spacious and welcoming. The only criticism is that the mattresses on the sofa chairs are very worn and thin and don’t feel comfortable. We all enjoyed both our dinner in the restaurant and the breakfast. A lovely stay and helpful and friendly staff.

Stayed here as a family would say amazing location for what we was travelling for only downside was the hotel room was boiling even with two fans not saying this is the hotel fault but we’ve found it extremely warm

Firstly, All rooms need Air Conditioning units throughout because this week’s weather from Monday to yesterday was hot and an electrical fan in our room was inappropriate and non-starter. Please ensure Sudbury Hotel understands. Secondly, their duvet was too much for hot weather so they need to invest in thin togs for Summer and keep the thicker togs for Autumn and Winter months. Thirdly, they seem to be understaffed because when we had breakfast on Wednesday, we were served by a employee who would be rushed-off his feet if he was the only person serving on a full house of guests. On Wednesday, he only had a very few of guests. However, he was not very forthcoming when I asked us to be seated by the window because the breakfast room was quite warm elsewhere inside. We would only return in Summer if rooms have air conditioning units throughout. Thank you.

This is a very beautiful property in the Cotswolds . 5 mins from the Faringdon town center. Very nice and quite location. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. We checked in late at night, like very late @ 2 AM in the morning. I called a number they had given and a staff member was there to check us in. Definitely coming back whenever I am in Cotswolds.

Great, large clean room. Very comfortable stay. We had our dog with us and just to warn others, a £100 deposit is taken for a pet upfront. Overall, I would stay again stay here again.

The reception staff were very polite & helpful. The twin room was very clean. Bathroom was clean apart from a cobweb. No complimentary toiletries. The shower water flow was not good. Just about got enough water out to wash.

We had a fantastic stay here and can honestly say it’s one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed at in the UK. The hotel is modern, spotless, and very family friendly, with a lovely courtyard area that creates a really relaxing atmosphere. We travelled with our 3-year-old daughter and the staff were incredibly accommodating throughout our stay. They kindly allowed us to store her food in the fridge and helped heat it up when needed, which made a huge difference for us as parents. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and kept at the perfect temperature. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of tasty options, and the hotel also has ample parking which made everything very convenient. Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service — we would happily return and highly recommend it to families.

The hotel really caters for big events etc. and was almost empty when I stayed. I only met the receptionist who was efficient, friendly and helpful. The hotel is very large and set in its own grounds and gardens. For my stay it was very quiet - I can't comment on when it is full and busy. However, my stay was during the latest heatwave and my bedroom was without air conditioning and uncomfortably hot. The public rooms were cool and comfortable and so I sat in the empty bar -not drinking - to read and write. Which was no great hardship as I am an elderly woman travelling alone. I don't eat breakfast and was eating else where with family so I can't comment on the restaurant, but given the style of the hotel I would expect it to be good. I will go back when I'm sure that it's quiet -and the weather's not hot.

I had room 305 lovely and cool and quiet for this heatwave of a weekend. All staff so very helpful.will definitely be back , love the gardens and terrace. Could always find a quiet corner to sit and relax anytime of day.

The consistency of room service standard was not there. One day my room was cleaned well, i had 4 bottles of water i had 4 biscuits for each of us staying in the room. The next day i had no bottles of water, no biscuits, the two extra beds were not made. I was very disappointed upon entering our room after a long day out.

The vibe in reception was really dead almost felt like the hotel was closed down. There was poor water pressure in the shower. The whole place was fine like it was perfectly good for us as a one night stay just very unremarkable with a ghostly vibe.
