This place was absolutely wonderful! My first time experiencing an onsen and it was amazing. The shuttle pick up and drop off from the train station was great. The welcoming staff at check in/check out. The room I selected was AMAZING!! So serene and quiet. I got the private bath with my room, and boy was it relaxing. Great experience, staffs were very nice, food was good, the room was clean and beautiful, they gave me the Sakura room, it's amazing! Also, you can drop by some near by attractions, like the waterfall (~1.8km hiking trail), the lake, etc. Will visit again :)

This place is well taken care of by the kindest family. 15/10. We hope to come back and visit when the apples are ripe.

Super relaxing and tranquil hotel. We enjoyed our private onsen and were very happy with our room. The futon is not for us as we learned after our first night. Was too hard. So just be aware of that. Otherwise perfect. We happily would come back.

This historic hotel, founded it in 1870, is beautifully located and provides an exceptional experience in every way. The staff got a backpack left on the bus back to us within an hour. The onsen is a dream. I would love to be able to return someday.

Top Notch facility. Excellent buffet, in which they came up with innovated ways and controls due to the COVID situation. Staff eager to help with anything. Location was nice as it was right on the river. Plan to go back during the Spring or early summer as scenery is spectacular.

We absolutely loved the private onsen in our room. Staff was very helpful in ordering a cab to the train station. I would skip the full board dinners in favor of supporting the local businesses!

The Yunomori onsen ryokan was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was incredible and the staff were 10/10 amazing. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us.
