「Our holiday in Menaggio was wonderful because of the beautiful destination, less so the villa. Le Petit Palais did not live up to its grand name & the online photos were somewhat misleading. Positively, the views from the terrace & 2 main bedrooms are stunning, looking directly over the lake & mountains. 「Our host was simply wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about this experience. This was a delightful gathering of friends in Lucca. I definitely recommend having Monica cook a meal for you one night while you stay- you will not be disappointed. I also recommend buying some of Monica's cheeses to enjoy while you are there- they pair perfectly with local meats, and you cannot get fresher cheese than this.
