Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh City Centre

Radisson Blu Hotel, Edinburgh City Centre

10/10 Excellent
"Great hotel in an ideal location on the Royal Mile in Old Edinburgh. It's smack in the heart of all the action, central to nearly every attraction of Edinburgh (fanning out from the Radisson Blu "hub"). Cool building on the outside, and totally updated on the inside. My room was spacious, and the bathroom was modern, large, and stocked with useful supplies. My big windows had fantastic views also. The pool and spa were excellent and easy to access via the main elevators; I loved the steam room. The bar and restaurant in the lobby make it a complete-service hotel; I had a burger and a beer. Great bartenders and servers. The reception staff were absolutely the friendliest and most capable (heart) I encountered of all my experiences in Scotland. The hotel is also a venue for Fringe Festival, which is convenient in case you want to see live shows. Hallways and public areas were sparkling clean. It is rated as 4 stars for some specific reasons, but I found it to be at the same quality level as 5-star hotels I patronize, such as the Four Seasons. I highly recommend it. I even pulled up with my car right to the front entrance, on High Street, and I left my car parked for 30 minutes while I check in. That's amazing for a central location with no reserved hotel parking anywhere and no valet service. The hotel is a gem ... and I fell in love there too!"

Point A Edinburgh Haymarket

Point A Edinburgh Haymarket

8/10 Good
"Clean and comfortable. Terrific staff, who also helped us with tips to get to several sightseeing locations. Amazing breakfast! Room was on the small side, but only two hooks for all our towels and no closet. No washcloths either. Room temp controls were touch pad and hard to understand, but staff came quickly to help."

Motel One Edinburgh-Royal

8/10 Good
"The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff would be very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and modern. This is a great location as well and we love that there was a bar in the lobby! We opted out of breakfast so I can’t comment on that. The only drawback is that the rooms are small. Clean and comfortable but on the small side."
