「The service was amazing.. I was sitting in the lobby and a worker walked by and asked if I wanted coffee or tea. We were there for a wedding and everything was wonderful. The only negative comment would be some rooms could use an upgrade. 」

「Loved our stay at the historic Court House, beautifully restored as the Abner Inn. Service was excellent, dinner was equally fantastic, service was super. Staying in the beautiful village of Litchfield is always a special treat for my wife and I as we love stopping in the Village Pub for a drink and to taking a drive to Lake Waramaug and the beautiful New Preston village. We will be back to the Abner in a few weeks!」

「The other reviews aren't fair or true. This place is within minutes of the Appalachian Trail. If you want a basic room for a day hiking weekend, this is a good choice.」

「We camped at Freedom Farm and enjoyed the secluded woods setting for our tent. Everything was clean and well prepared for our stay, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. It is beautifully situated and is a short drive from some excellent hiking and biking in nearby state parks. I think a couple of things, though, could be improved. The tent was set up on an incline, which made sleeping a bit less comfortable than it might have been. I would recommend that the hosts build a level platform...

Incredibly comfortable rooms, inviting common spaces, excellent breakfast, beautiful grounds, and friendly staff. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in our room. Perfect for a romantic getaway, we look forward to visiting again in the future.」
