    The owners were very unobtrusive--they just wanted to let you live your life and stay out of your way. This is my first time in a private home with rooms turned into lodging spaces, so I felt as if I was in somebody else's house. I was. If I was staying longer than the single night, I would have enjoyed using the kitchen a little bit more than to pour milk on to breakfast cereal. that said, if you don't have a car, or a bicycle capable of carrying groceries, you should get a transit pass so that you can get to a grocery store. I don't know of any regular grocery stores less than 2 miles away. You can hear traffic from a highway nearby, but it's a little bit distant and not at all like the noise in downtown Vancouver. I had no trouble sleeping with the windows open. The single light in the room is a ceiling fixture. I might have liked at least one nightstand lamp, but considering the room rate, i won't take my rating down a notch…
