8/10 Good
"Arriving at the hotel the staff were very welcoming, explained things fully as the reception is not staffed 24/7 and breakfast was provided by a hotel (The Charm) two doors up the road. This wasn't a problem for us but could be for others hence mentioning. We booked the hotel as it stated 'luxury boutique' and the Penthouse Suite given we were staying for our wedding anniversary. The room was accessed by a narrow staircase so if you have larger cases this may prove difficult. The carpets, hallways and room doors seemed very tired on appearance and quite dark even during the day. The room itself is in the eaves with low ceilings so if you are on the taller side it may not be room for you. My husband discovered this when bumping his head getting out of bed! The pictures of the bed and room itself are accurate however the bathroom isn't. The bathroom has a spa bath with shower over which may prove problematic due to having to climb in/out of the bath. The shower itself was great but the bath tub is very marked. The rest of the furniture and room layout doesn’t reflect the rest of the room and I wouldn’t describe it as luxury boutique. Breakfast at The Charm was excellent serving both cold and hot buffet breakfast items in a light and airy room with very welcoming and helpful staff. Overall a good one night stay but not a luxury residence in my opinion."

"I booked 3 rooms. At check in 1 of the rooms had not been cleaned. There were viagra tablets left on bedside cabinet, wine bottles in the bin and bed had not been made. Staff were extremely apologetic and instantly provided a new room. There were no problems with the other 2 rooms. They were all clean and the location perfect for the seafront and Brighton Lanes. Despite the problem with the room not being cleaned I would definitely rebook again"

"Good location in Brighton near all the local spots. Air con situation was a pain, we called to check the room had air con before booking they said yes so we booked then got to the hotel and were put in a non air con room. We asked to move to an air con room and they moved us so had no idea why they didn’t put us in that room in the first place. I wouldn’t book here again as clearly can’t rely on whether you will get an air con room or not. Everything else was good apart from this situation but it is off putting."
