"I don’t believe this accommodation justify the cost if you will stay at this property without dinner and breakfast. I was able to reduce the expense for a night to c. $55 by using Expedia credits equal to $30, but if I didn’t have it, I would recommend to stay another one. Far from the center of Matsumoto Nothing was around the property Nothing would be provided to kids, such as amenities, welcoming tea and snacks, basically. The only nicer point was hot spring with good scene"

"The room was spacious and the food was amazing. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a Japanese experience and at a lovely hotel with attentive staff. "

"What a great neighbourhood of Asama. An easy walk to the Asama Onsen and several quaint retaurants "

"The staff are wonderful. Everyone worked so hard to make sure that our stay was great. We have a vegetarian and they went out of their way to make sure that he had special meals every time."

"Room, staff and food are exceptional. "

"It was a beautiful place to stay with a lovely room and a modern bathroom attached. The old style was really beautiful with the dark wood. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights and used it as a base for Kamikochi and the wasabi farm and cycle in Azumino as well as the Castle in Matsumoto itself."

The rooms and elevators are old. the outdoor hotspring is on the top floor with no facilities (you have to go downstairs first and shower) and no real view to speak of. The location is on the main drag which is nice. But it should be 1/2 the...

"部屋が古くて狭いので2部屋使わせてくれたが不便"

"Authentic Japanese experience, clean place, well maintained with great onsen, strongly recommend the Japanese style room for authenticity."

"It was a very down to earth place with everything you could ask for for a good nights rest. "

"A difficult place to find but we’ll located. Close to the lake and station. A traditional Japanese hotel well presented with helpful staff. We forwarded our cases to the hotel and on arrival we checked in and were escorted to our room where our cases stained us an a member of staff showed us round and explained everything to us."
