「I loved it! The room was gorgeous, spacious and just right for my sister and I on my birthday eve. Breakfast was great and I am pleased. I didn’t realise it was above a pub but that wasn’t a problem. Free parking and 10mins drive to city centre. The AC in the room wasn’t functional but there was a back up fan that helped somewhat.」

「What a beautiful location! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were all so freindly and helpful, especially the extremely polite dark haired gentleman at the bar when we arrived. He took the trouble to show me to the room and explained everything. The breakfast was also very good, great choice and lovely to sit with a view of the Abbey. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend.」

「Room was TINY. Smelt of toilets and woken by multiple church bells at 5 am. No staff at breakfast time. Cereal and toast. Wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the money.」

「Beautiful historic place to stay, situated in a picture postcard village. We loved staying here and found it very practical given we were in the area for a music festival. The room was very comfortable, amenities very good and the staff were extremely helpful in helping us check in early! Breakfast is made fresh for each guest when they book breakfast and the pub's setting is lovely with all the original features of the coaching inn. We stayed during some very hot days so had to have the windows...

「The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning.」
