「Fantastic bathroom. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. A bit of a rabbit warren. No lift to upper floors. An elderly couple were struggling up the stairs and were not finding it easy. The staff had offered to help them but they had declined. Would have helped to have written information about meal times, local transport especially train service, contact numbers and places of local interest」

We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat. 「On the whole our stay was a very pleasant experience. Our room was light airy and cool in the heatwave. The beds clean and comfortable. Decent shower/ bath. Not sure if the small towel in the bathroom was a hand towel or bathmat. The only disappointment was the very basic breakfast, just flake or some round cereal. No muesli, yoghurt, and NO fruit.
