"The hotel was beautiful with all the amenities you could need. This was our first time in a traditional Japanese style room and it was such a fun experience. The onsens were great and the reservation system easy to use. Dining was special and we loved the food. Getting to do a little laundry in their facilities was an added bonus. Staff was eager to help and made us feel welcome and comfortable the entire stay."

"This was the most beautiful and luxurious hotel I've ever stayed in. The facilities were excellent, the staff were attentive and friendly. My favorite thing about my stay was the room itself and the amenities in the room. The bathroom (shared shower and large soaking tub) was a treat, especially the aromatic bath salts after a long flight. I hope to return to Kobe and stay here again!"

"Staff were super friendly. The room was amazing and faced the bay and ferris wheel. I made use of the jacuzzi bath both morning and night. Nothing beat a bath tub soak after a long day of doing touristy things."

"Love the hotel beds and pillows. Room space was great. Given level 10 with moutain view. The hotel transport @ Sannomiya station was also rehular. Will revisit if i return to kobe. Lovely garden courtyard and near harbour for a lovely stroll in the evening. "

"This property does take some effort to get to. But the stay was pleasant. Buffet was delicious and onsen baths were amazing. The ryokan experience is very interesting and comfortable for us. Staff were very helpful. One thing to mention is it is not very tattoo-friendly. They politely ask you to cover tattoos in common areas, including restaurants."

"The staff was very nice! They didn’t really speak english, but it was easy to communicate with them. The location is nice and the room was very authentic and pretty! The breakfast was nothing that we expected. It was awesome!! When staying here, you must eat breakfast here. Not an american style breakfast! "I stayed at the Orient Hotel for 6 nights. Good location, nice staff, good breakfast and clean. It’s on the harbor so have a beautiful view, there is a plaza by the ferris wheel that is a fun little spot and has lots of good food/shopping. There is a ‘Art and Aquarium’ near by and is worth going to. Enjoyed my stay there. "

The food was EXCELLENT. The outdoor onsen was my fave. I would stay here again despite the smokey room - just make sure you request a non-smoking room!"

"Overall very good to stay, but just one disappointed was a reception guy when we checked in. He firstly insisting that the hotel would not provide a linen(towel, tooth brush, etc.) and breakfast services for my son under their hotel policy. Sounds too much protective stance, and made us very unhappy. He should be re-educated."
