The rooms are large and comfortable, the upstairs terrace is lovely; all the American and Japanese toys from the last fifty years on display are fascinating; roomy, clean kitchen with pleasant, quiet and restful common room area"

"The place offers deep tubs in each room as well as a public ofuro. I didn't get to use the (milky way) onservatory due to weather conditions, but it is available. "Beautiful, modern, very tastefully decorated property. The front desk attendee was very hospitable, a warm welcome to our first time in Yufuin! Gems is a minute walk from the station / bus stop, and is located centrally to Yufuin town. The walk to Kinrin lake was beautiful, with views of the mountain on the street. The room we booked was incredibly spacious, and although designed for 4, did not feel too empty for 2. The bathroom is so well done and so clean, with a huge bath tub that just invites a private soak. We would stay again next time! "
