Beautiful clean room, Onsen was great and so relaxing. Dinner was traditional Japanese and as good as I’ve EVER had. I would 100% recommend to anyone. We intend to return frequently.

Traditional ryokan style. Beautiful surroundings. Very traditional but spacious room. Wonderful Onsen. Close to cute shops and yummy snacks.

The beds are very comfortable. All rooms have great views. Dinner and breakfast buffets offer many options. Highly recommended.

Great Ryokan. The property is beautiful and it's not far from the Kumamoto limousine bus stop (the hotel gives you rides to and from the stop anyway). Short walking distance to a bunch of restaurants and the main area of the town. Top notch service and super clean. The outdoor onsen is incredible. Room was huge and the mattress was first-rate. Staff were exceptionally helpful. The entire property was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was varied and delicious. It was just as advertised.

Shiosai no yado Seikai is an outstanding onsen/hotel in Beppu. From arrival to departure the staff, including Mr. Ohkubo, provided exceptional hospitality and service. Our room was upscale spacious, clean, modern and equipped with all the amenities that the most demanding guest would want. The furo/spa facilities were clean and well stocked with needed supplies. All the facilities in this hotel were very clean, operational, and fantastic to use. In particular, the staff in this hotel were absolutely amazing. They were the most friendly and welcoming people that we have ever met, especially the staff in the restaurants. The food served was very fresh and delicious as well. great service and food

The onsen was absolutely great, with beautiful view of Beppu. The room was very spacious and quiet. The hotel staff is overall friendly. Teppan dinner was great (though the Wagyu steak was a bit too greasy for me), and breakfast was also nice.

We had an amazing stay! The service was excellent and all the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and the private onsen was a perfect, relaxing experience. Highly recommend!

Great hotel and onsen, especially for the price. We were assigned one of the 8th floor themed rooms with the Aso bear as decoration—adorable and great room. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. The buffet dinner and breakfast were well worth the price! The kids’ play room was fun; the indoor pool was great (including a sauna at 95 Celsius). We didn’t get a chance to do the regular onsen, but did reserve a private onsen, which was cheap and well worth it if you’re a little uncomfortable...
