Beautiful clean room, Onsen was great and so relaxing. Dinner was traditional Japanese and as good as I’ve EVER had. I would 100% recommend to anyone. We intend to return frequently.

We chose to stay in Oita one night before heading to Beppu to experience the onsen. This hotel is easy to find, as it's a straight shot on the main road from the station. The hotel was clean, quiet, had great amenities, and offered extra toiletries for women. Shiosai no yado Seikai is an outstanding onsen/hotel in Beppu. From arrival to departure the staff, including Mr. Ohkubo, provided exceptional hospitality and service. Our room was upscale spacious, clean, modern and equipped with all the amenities that the most demanding guest would want. The furo/spa facilities were clean and well stocked with needed supplies. Room was huge and the mattress was first-rate. Staff were exceptionally helpful. The entire property was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was varied and delicious. It was just as advertised.

Convenient onsen, delicious foods, fantasic view from room

The onsen was absolutely great, with beautiful view of Beppu. The room was very spacious and quiet. The hotel staff is overall friendly. Teppan dinner was great (though the Wagyu steak was a bit too greasy for me), and breakfast was also nice.

All the facilities in this hotel were very clean, operational, and fantastic to use. In particular, the staff in this hotel were absolutely amazing. They were the most friendly and welcoming people that we have ever met, especially the staff in the restaurants. The food served was very fresh and delicious as well. Traditional ryokan style. Beautiful surroundings. Very traditional but spacious room. Wonderful Onsen. Close to cute shops and yummy snacks.
