"An interesting mix of retro western with Japanese style onsen and gardens, this hotel offers rooms with huge, king size beds. We opted for the kaiseki dinner, and they were able to accommodate even though we didn’t reserve it at the time of our booking. The meal was excellent with a range of courses. We drove here, but it looks to be a 20 minute walk from the charming parts of Yufuin"

"A great little hidden gem in this area - we stayed here as a stopover to our next location. Room was clean and super cozy. Staff was very nice and helpful with us settling in. Location is very quaint and I loved all the statues decorating the place. The bath was super nice! Would recommend staying here and getting the dinner & breakfast experience - the food smelt so good! "The place offers deep tubs in each room as well as a public ofuro. I didn't get to use the (milky way) onservatory due to weather conditions, but it is available. The best part for my stay was however was due to the friendly owner. He had given me info for best local spots and I enjoyed my chat with him. Hope his business prospers."
