「This hotel has seen better days. It is undergoing some renovations....Our room had no cover on electrical outlet, fridge froze everything in less than 12 hours, cigarette burns on all furniture and tub, chair was so bad with stains, tears and cig burns, we were afraid to sit on it. I guess you get what you pay for....the room rate was great!!!」

「Went to Hickory for a family event. This was the perfect place to stay. The pool and backyard were relaxing. Charlene and her family were incredible hosts.」

「This is a real no-frills hotel. Staff isn't fluent in English and the entire facility is really dated. Rooms are sparse and more suited to migrant workers instead of travelers. The breakfast consisted of bagels and white bread and a selection of three dry cereals. The parking lot was strewed with building materials and yellow crime scene tape. I'm not sure where the photos were taken, but they don't reflect the current facility. This is a noisy location.」

「The room was not like advertised. It was older, not as “fresh” as the pictures. There was no tv for the remote. I was going to call the front desk to let them know but when I picked up the phone, it wasn’t even plugged in to anything. A few of the outlets didn’t work. The sink was slow draining. The front of the fridge was dirty. But the room was mostly clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. The lobby was clean. 」

「We booked the hotel for a soccer tournament Friday through Sunday. The lights on our room was dead, the lamp didn’t have the knob to turn it on. The pool was closed but wasn’t posted on there page. We was told to go next door to share there pool with the other hotel. There arcade only had 2 claw machine and a pool table that wasn’t working. Breakfast was horrible, microwave sausage biscuit and one waffle maker for 10-20 people in the morning. A lot of people were going out to eat after seeming...

「The room was very clean! The room was airtight; it turned cold overnight but our room stayed at a constant 71 degrees! I loved the rocking chairs and the porch! 」

「We stayed 3 days and we enjoyed this hotel very much. Accessibility to major spots were excellent and Harris Teeter was within 10 minutes from the hotel. Only complaint can be less availability of kitchen such as sink, pot and microwave machine. But we could survive with ready-to-eat meals. Overall we recommend this hotel.」
