"Severely outdated hotel. Most definitely NOT a family hotel as it is a "love hotel" and NOT safe for families. Entire room covered in yellow nicotine and the smell was horrendous. "
"I stayed at the Chaya house which was absolutely stunning. The staff were incredibly friendly and a joy to speak with. Otsu is a smaller quiet town with lots of character and friendly residents. I highly recommend checking out the local Izakayas and cafes for an equally excellent experience."
"I was with my friend for hanami season. The hotel is the best.Train station on your foot.Reception the best.Room perfect 👌 ! I will close again on the same if i have time!"
"The stay here was wonderful. The staff were amazing, the dining experience was perfect. Would recommend for anyone that wants a quiet onsen off the main travel path."
"とてもユニークな部屋に泊まれて嬉しかったです。部屋はとても清潔で、ホストはとても面白くてフレンドリーでした。近くにバスがあるのでとても便利です。
It was a pleasure to stay in such a unique room. The room was very clean and the host was very interesting and friendly. There is a bus nearby, which is very convenient.
很高興能入住這麼有特色的房間,房間也很乾淨,主人也非常的有趣和友善。附近就有公車可以搭乘,非常的方便。"

"Last minute booking and it was a pleasant and easy check in experience.
Note the pool was closed during our stay and the main reason for us booking this property.
The room was big and great parking available."
"The shower was soooo nice and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel was very spacious as well. Everything felt extremely clean and peaceful. Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Also loved the quaint little gym. Had the basics which is great on vacation. "
"The rooms were big and comfy, the onsen was also really relaxing. My only concern was there was no ice bath to cool off in but other than that it was very nice. They offer free ice pops as well which was amazing. The massage chairs however were always occupied so we didn't get to use them. The pillows and mattress are also very firm but surprisingly we would wake up with no back pain. In terms of closeness, it's about a 5 minute walk from Kyoto station. We really enjoyed our stay here regardless"
