"Room were terrible, we had to be switched 4 times due to unclean rooms. The hallway wallpaper is pealing on multiple floors. The hot tub is broken, the restaurant is not in service, the elevator was raggedy."

"I have stayed at this property off and on for 20+ years and I was excited to return. The property and staff did not disappoint. I was excited to see that the property had not only been maintained well but also updated. Great location within walking distance of several good restaurants. The onsite food at the conference was also excellent! Will return!"

"Picked the hotel because of great price and enough good reviews. Great location close to everything. They seem to be in a changeover in brand…there are a lot of renovations happening in the lobby and pool area (pool was open). Our room was clean, the beds were comfy and everything was functional. We were surprised that our room did not have an exterior window- the window looked out over the indoor pool. Upon entrance to the room it definitely smelled like chlorine from the pool, but we didn’t notice it much once we acclimated. The window definitely let in a lot of noise from the pool patrons- fortunately we aren’t super sensitive to noise. If I returned I would definitely ask for a different room- it just felt dark and disorienting not having an exterior window. Staff was super nice."

"Conveniently located in downtown St. Joe overlooking Silver Beach. We had a room facing the city but it was easy to go out the front of the hotel and take advantage of the multiple seating areas across the street. The city does a nice job of making the most of the bluff and turning it into a park like setting. We sat in one of the swinging benches and watch the beautiful sunset. The room was a suite with a sitting area with a desk, full size sofa, TV, and a fridge. The bed was comfortable and had ample pillows. The lobby was a bit confusing coming in front the front since you have to go up the stairs and to the right. Ample parking adjacent to the hotel. We stayed Sunday- Wednesday and was disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open Monday and Tuesday so we never got to experience it. There is a nice continental breakfast that had the usual pastries, coffee, fruit, cereal, but also had bagels with a toaster and usually a hot option (ham n cheese croissant one on day and a quiche the other) The hotel is from the 70’s or 80’s and you can only do so much to hide that fact. One of the elevators was out of order too but we didn’t seem to wait too long, but I think that was because the hotel was at far from 100% occupancy. It might’ve been more problematic is the hotel was full. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again. The walk ability to Silver Beach, the views, and the downtown shops are this hotels biggest upside."

"Wonderful retro vibe on the outside. Cute and fun gathering spots spread around the spacious grounds. Great place for families or group stays. Pool is nice and enclosed. Room was spacious and had a fridge. Bathroom was spacious. The room even had a jacuzzi tub in the corner that look big enough for a couple of people. Not sure if the jacuzzi tub comes in all the rooms but it gave my wife and I a chuckle. Don’t get me wrong it is a renovated property from the 50’s or 60’s, but they have done a good job on it. There was a dehumidifier in the room so you don’t get that feeling of humidity in the air like you do in some older hotels where the AC just blows cold air but a feeling of dampness remains. The dehumidifier helped negate that feeling. The downside is that it is an extra applicable running. But if you like sleeping with white noise then it’s great. Breakfast was continental with mostly packaged pastries, cereal, and instant oatmeal. Coffee was available too. We only stayed one night but would stay here again. It’s only. She’s five minute drive to downtown saugatuck so very convenient."
