"The trästubba we stay in were magical, perfect for family trip especially for Swedish mid summer celebrations.
The light in the morning and approaching sunset were amazing! Highly recommended.👍
Nearby activity of Götekanel bike trip or boat trip are also fun to do with open landscape that look like painting . Will definitely visit again ."
"I am extremely disappointed with the lack of flexibility and customer care at this hotel. Due to an unexpected family emergency, I had to check out just a few hours after checking in. Despite informing the hotel promptly and not utilizing the room for the night, they refused to offer even a partial refund, citing rigid policies without any consideration for the circumstances.
To make matters worse, they also charged me for breakfast, which I never had, as I checked out the same day. When I...
"My daughter and I had a fantastic stay. So cozy and friendly! Excellent breakfast and very flexible and kind. We were offered hot cocoa when we came back from a chilly walk and home-made apple juice for breakfast, just as an example."

"This is such a lovely hotel. A lovely old building but decorated in a lovely contemporary way. our room was beautiful. This being a Home hotel we were really pleasantly surprised to be offered dinner as well, a really lovely touch."
"The main building of the Gyllene Uttern looks like a Scandinavian castle. Perched high above Lake Vättern, it has a grand view of the lake, whether from a large terrace, one of its several lounging spaces, a glassed-in dining room, or from rooms facing the lake. It also has a baronial dining room, in which the very good breakfast buffet is laid out. We dined there in the evening, as well, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed comfortable suites overlooking the lake. The one disadvantage is that the old, castle-like hotel does not have an elevator, which made carrying up luggage a challenge, especially as we three couples were of ages 60 to 82. There was no indication of staff to assist with the luggage, which is the reason I gave "Staff & Service" 4 stars instead of 5. It has two newer two-story auxiliary buildings, which do have elevators. We have stayed in these before. The rooms are very comfortable, but not as charming as staying in a pseudo castle. "
