「Staff were welcoming and helpful in every part of the hotel. Our room was spacious, quiet, beautifully clean - and the beds amazingly comfortable. We ate in the bar as the restaurant was already fully-booked, but the food was delicious, beautifully presented, fairly priced & promptly served. Everything great, and the location perfectly central for our visit, right next to the Stray. We will certainly stay again, hopefully. Thank you to all who made us feel so comfortable! 」

The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay.」

「Very comfy big bed, shower and taps took ages to get hot, but eventually did. Lots of tea and coffee options in room together with a fridge with wine and snacks if required. Breakfast was excellent. 「Standards seems to have gone down, quite a lot of dust around. The lift still being out of commission is a problem and doesn't seem to have been mentioned on the description. I believe this is a long term problem as the staff indicated that "spare parts" were no longer available. Very young staff and hit and miss service. Good position though.」
