"I can’t say enough about this quant and beautiful Inn. Charming, eloquent, comfy and very short walking distance to the water and shopping. I wish I could have stayed a week!"

"We stayed in the Grand Pier suite (ocean view) for my daughter’s wedding at a nearby venue. We hosted the bridal party for the morning (hair, makeup, photographer) and the first thing the everyone said when they came to the suite was “Wow!” The amazing view and natural light, the beautifully renovated suite with enough space for the bride and 4 bridesmaids to get ready, the staff who accommodated us with extra coffee, cream, and a few other extra treats in the morning were so appreciated! I have lived in BC my entire life on the mainland and have never been to Sidney before. What a mistake on my part. This ocean front hotel with its picturesque location is a treat to spend a long leisurely weekend. I highly recommend!"

Mayne Island Resort

Mayne Island Resort

8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our stay overall. The property is very quaint and peaceful, and we loved our ocean-view villa — it was comfortable, beautiful, and a lovely place to spend a few days on Mayne Island. Unfortunately, all of the resort amenities, including the pool, hot tub and sauna, were under maintenance during our stay, so we weren’t able to use any of them. It made the property feel less like a resort and more like an Airbnb-style stay where you’re largely on your own. We also ate at the restaurant on Friday night and dinner took close to three hours, which was especially difficult with kids, so I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant based on our experience. Most of the staff were very friendly, although one person at the front desk was quite dismissive when we asked questions about the island and didn’t seem particularly interested in helping. That said, we still really enjoyed our time on Mayne Island and loved our villa. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends — I’d just suggest exploring the island for meals and going in with the expectation of more of a self-contained getaway than a full-service resort."
