I loved the views of nature and exterior of this place. It's very quiet. Indoors surfaces are quite worn-out though. Staff are friendly, but not very detail-oriented. To give example, upon arrival at our room, I found some strange-looking long object laying on the arm-chair seat, which I initially thought was some sort of female hygiene product (gross), but possibly it was a half-chewed dog treat, not sure. Also the tub had rings from soap residue. The front desk guy was nice enough to call housekeeping right away to fix the problems. Sort of. As the housekeeper left, I noted big pieces of black something on the bathroom floor supposedly from housekeeper's boots. I ended up wiping all surfaces just in case before we unpacked our suitcases... Food was 50/50 - some dishes were quite good (loved hash browns, vegetarian omelette and clam chowder, but stir fry was mushy and sour-tasting - very strange). Dining room staff are lovely though. I also asked that staff somehow acknowledged upon our arrival that it was my husband's birthday to make him feel special. I was told that the note was made of my request, but nothing happened... Upon check-out, when I got the bill I was hoping to see some sort of discount to acknowledge the appalling feeling of finding the housekeeping concerns upon arrival, but I was charged for everything without any discount or gift certificate for future stay. As a result, I don't think I will be staying there again.
