All went well until I opened the door to my room (#300 or #301) and immediately noticed a stench of something horrid. Upon entering the bathroom, I noticed the bathtub was filled with a yellow liquid and had black mold inside the liquid floating around. Normally, I would understand that it simply needed to be cleaned, but the stench lingering in the room made it so that I could not come close to falling asleep. I experienced a burning sensation in my nose and felt this could've been a very serious health issue.
I called the front desk and explained to them the situation and that I will need to stay in another room or have someone fix/clean the issue. Deep informed me that no maintenance was available, all the rooms were reserved for the night and changing rooms would not be possible. Since the only other option was sleeping on the street; I stayed up all night in my room, despite my attempts to fall asleep.
The next morning, I approached the front desk and spoke to a male assistant manager (didn't get name). I showed him the attached pictures and asked if I would be compensated for my stay in any way. The manager proceeded to tell me that it was "just water". I was then instructed to email [firstname.lastname@example.org] to request a refund. It has been almost a month now and I have not received any response or apology.
Very bad experience and lord only knows the detriment on my health that staying one night in this hotel did. I may chose to pursue legal action.
