"Kyoto Brighton was a high quality hotel our family stayed at during the second half of our Japan trip. One thing that really impressed us was the staff's friendliness and professionalism - very respectful and bowing during each greeting. The hotel was very spacious and the rooms and bathrooms were large to accommodate us 4 comfortably. Location was good - just far enough from the busyness, and they offer a shuttle service which we used multiple times (convenient). The Hotel was right next to the Kyoto Imperial Palace which was beautiful and relaxing place to relax and walk. There is a controlled entry into the main palace areas but it is free and worth the time to visit. We loved how the hotel had different housekeeping options (i.e. trash, towels, supplies only, no making beds, etc...)- all we had to do was pick the options and hang the doortag on the handle. Only thing was that they didn't have laundry machines to do laundry but instead had dry clean/laundry service which was additional costs. We ended up walking 8 minutes to a laundromat which was fine with us. Overall great experience and appreciate the high quality hotel and staff."

"This hotel is beautiful inside and the room was much bigger than we expected. Family Mart is right next door so I cannot stress how convenient that was to my family. Close to bus and subway, close to the main shopping street. The old part of Kyoto was very close too. I would stay here again next time I visit. "
