Every condo has a wall of windows with a patio door in the middle that opens facing the ocean. We get to see, smell and hear the ocean but are far enough back that we don’t get the people noise. "Amazing breakfast! We had a balcony room with ocean views. Just remember to request an upper level for more unobstructed views if you get a balcony. I wasn't thrilled with a second floor balcony because we had 2 trailers servicing surfer gear and bikes. It wasn't the greatest location. The room was nice though."

El Cordova Hotel on Coronado Island

"The hotel looks like an old apartment complex maybe? I did not realize this or notice when I booked it. Not a big deal though, I only would have packed things differently bc there is no elevator to get to the second level rooms. Only stairs, to carry a heavy suitcase and rolling cooler. Whoops. This hotel is approx a 5 minute walk from the beach and close to all the action of shopping and restaurants. Everything is walkable. We even walked back to the hotel from the Ferry Landing - it was approx a 30 minute walk - basically straight down Orange Ave. We did not park in the offsite garage for $40/day, we continued to find street parking at 4 hours (very minimal spaces) and 2 hour parking. Parking hours are not in effect on Sundays and legal holidays. Sunday was our first day, so only needed to move the car on Monday before we checked out on Tuesday morning. We absolutely would stay again. 4-stars for the noisy construction going on that was not discussed at check in or noted in any email. They started EARLY both Monday and Tuesday mornings. Construction was in the middle courtyard."

"It was not like any ordinary motel. Intimate, clean, and tranquil spot. Rooms were also clean (thanks so much Samuel), albeit it small but we worked with it and didn't need to request anything extra. Staff such as Kathy and Samuel were so great and helpful. We have decided to now make this motel one of our favorite places to stay at, and our goal moving forward is to make this destination a mandatory annual stay. My family, friends and I loved it. And the outdoor patios... Boy did we love that too! Can't wait until the next time. Thank you to the wonderful staff here at El Rancho Motel in the beautiful city of Coronado, CA."
