Restaurant served excellent food however it was the only option available during our stay (end of March) and it was expensive and really not suitable for very young children. Also only one shop open with limited food options. Not so great for very small children- we could have purchased supplies to bring in if we had known. "This Route Inn location is a bit older than some of their other locations, however it still has some good amenities like a public bath and in-building coin laundry (a must for hot Japan summers!). Room was small but clean, overall a good experience. I thought the included breakfast was every day, however I only received 1 meal coupon for my 2 day stay, which was surprising. Not really expensive, but didn't purchase a 2nd day and just got a bento on the train instead."

Pretty close to the Shiga Kogen resort. Check the Map before booking as it is not in Nagano despite the address. Diner and breakfast with Half board was very good and staff were friendly and helpful.
