This place is amazing. Service is wonderful. Food is extraordinary and there are 2 excellent hot springs in hotel. One of best experiences of my 2 week trip.

Very enjoyable experience with polite staff in kimono. If one would like to immerse themselves in Japanese tradition with tatami floors, sleeping on futon, and taking a traditional bath (onsen)/dress in yukata provided by the hotel, then this is the hotel for you.

This was the last place we stayed during our honeymoon trip to Korea and Japan — we had the "Japanese Style with Open Air Bath B (Take)" room which was massive and featured an outdoor bathing area with piped in hot spring water. We had an amazing host who explained everything about the room, a spectacular dinner was included, and overall a really magical evening. Definitely worth the cost. Still thinking about our time there...

En route to Kusatsu this was a great stay. Parking included. Clean rooms. Private onsen. Highly suggest the local eatery Kei's which is only 5 minutes away by car and open late. Great stay!

Went here March of 2016 and had an Amazing time. We arrived at the train & took a taxi to the ryokan [900¥], the staff was so nice they took in our luggage and we went to the snow monkeys [30 min inclined walk to the monkey park gate] or a quick 5 min taxi ride to the gate [900¥] the ryokan does offer a free shuttle at 11am to the monkey park, make sure not to miss that. The rooms were clean and quiet. The staff helped us find a private Onsen across the street due to our tattoos. It was awesome....

Really enjoyed my 6-night stay here. It really is a traditional Japanese hotel and experience and loved the friendly and helpful staff, and the location is just a short 10 min scenic stroll across the river to the bus/train station. Didnt know what to expect but the Japanese style tatami rooms were cosy and comfy, and the outdoor onsen was just what was needed after a day on the ski slopes. Open air bath area has nice views and is secluded. View from the room is therapeutic, overlooking nature. Very clean!

Reasonable price Enjoyed hotspring, Sauna, Kids room, and swimming pool with my 2 year old kid. Room is very big and comfotable. C/in took about 30mins, recommend arrive at the property before 3PM or after 4PM.

The rooms were very clean spacious.

The room is clean and the place is so quiet. Is convenient to travel to the park.

Delightfully friendly and kind hosts. Very clean place. Simple rooms, with everything you need, and shared washrooms. Nice breakfast. The shuttle to the lift is nice (although also easily walkeable in 10-15 minutes). The onsen bath downstairs is a definite bonus.
