"Awesome Onsen. Quick check in. The two open air mineral baths were clean, comfortable and relaxing. The one with the huge lava rocks, natural greenery and small waterfall on the 5th floor was my favorite. On the 11th floor the afternoon and evening it was gently raining and sitting in the Onsen with rain coming down made me feel one with the rain and hot water. "What a beautiful experience in a real, traditional atmosphere! I loved the Owner’s philosophy of carrying on traditions by means of making it relevant for each generation. The attention to detail in the architecture, design, even the sogetsu ikebana flower arrangements, and of course, the seasonally unique kaiseki meal, was wonderful. The Yukatas and most comfortable pajamas added to the feel of authenticity and calm. "

The staff are so friendly and accommodating and the entire place is very very clean, only complaint is the beds are very uncomfortable for a forigners standards the futon cushion is almost non existent and you will feel like sleeping on hard floor with an uncomfortable pillow.. but otherwise amazing experence!
