"The best feature of my stay was the location and the view! My unit had a panoramic view of the Koolau mountains and a peek-a-view of the bay towards Kuuloa Ranch. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette had tools enough for me to make a simple breakfast each morning. The flowering shrubs provided a pleasant aroma and birds and water features soothing background sound. The walls are quite thin so I could hear the guests in an adjacent room very clearly. I appreciated the air conditioner but disliked how loud it was so it would have been good to have a standing fan to move the air around at night and a screen for the patio door to allow more air flow. The resort does have a limited number of fans for quests but I was unlucky and they were all in use when I requested one. To sleep at night, I turned off the air conditioner, opened the windows, and used earplugs as my unit was next to one of the parking areas and some hotel guests returning after quiet hours were not respectful of sleepers. If you enjoy nature and greenery, this hotel is an ideal choice as it is convenient to the beaches and natural attractions of the windward side while less than 30 minutes away from major grocery stores, restaurants and shopping."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: THERE WERE 7 OF US, AND THE ACCOMMODATIONS WERE GREAT.. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT...TOP QUALITY ITEMS, BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE, EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN A KITCHEN IF YOU WERE TO COOK...BEACH GEAR WAS TOP QUALITY, AND OF COURSE KAILUA BEACH IS UNFORGETTABLE...2 CARS FIT IN PARKING AREA WELL, ALTHOUGH GETTING TURNED AROUND TO HEAD OUT THE DRIVE WAS A LITTLE CHALLENGE WITH 2 CARS, BUT WE FIGURED IT OUT AND DIDN'T HAVE PROBLEMS. "I rented this property for a big family group vacation and there were many things to love and a few to improve. We absolutely loved the property layout with the number of bedrooms, the separate primary bedroom suite, pool, hot tub, plumeria trees and quiet neighborhood. The property was obviously a former converted family home and it felt updated but still retro in a charming way. It’s a beautiful place with lots of room to hang out communally and relax. What needs improvement are the amenities and some details that should be addressed considering the cost of the place. Note that some of these things were eventually resolved after communication with the host and that was appreciated. However, other things are just fundamental features that I recommend the host invests in for future groups. The resolved items were a lack of sufficient toilet paper, paper towels & laundry pods for the week long stay. The unresolved items were the over flowing trash that wasn’t picked up as scheduled, old stained pillows (inside the covers) & old stained carpet in the living room, as well as a missing toilet paper dispenser in one bathroom. There also wasn’t a coffee grinder or many functional kitchen tools like a full set of measuring spoons, a working ice dispenser & decent chopping knives. One exterior kitchen door also doesn’t lock. I think the host could fix all these things with a minimal investment and for the price they owe it to renters."

"This rental was perfect for us. We traveled with five adult kids and it was a perfect size. The guest house really allowed everyone to find individual space if needed. We loved having our own beach space and access. The houses look pretty basic from the outside but are beautifully renovated on the inside. The beach and Kailua Bay are stunningly beautiful and wonderfully uncrowded. Light sand and turquoise water. We loved walking down to the Kalapuwai Market every day. Loved being walking distance to town. Our two teen girls walked to town every day, loved the boutique shopping. The welcome basket of snacks was lovely. The games are great, we played scrabble every day! The huge television and incredibly comfortable sectional in the main house were perfect for movie nights and World Cup watching. This house is expensive, but it was well worth it and surpassed our expectations. We did ask that the foliage by the beach lanai be trimmed a little more because when sitting down we had no water view. Overall fabulous, I hope to be back."

"We originally booked this property but due to unforeseen circumstances, the property was not available for us. The host contacted us immediately and offered another property that was beautiful, clean, and peacefully perched in the mountains with a distant ocean view. The home was well stocked with everything that we needed and prepped carefully for our arrival. We were able to cook, clean, and do laundry all while enjoying the panoramic lush views and the sounds of nature. The home was centrally located and close to most places. The hosts/property managers, Marc and Sasha, were flexible and extremely accommodating, answering all of our questions and providing additional items that we requested. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend anyone book with Marc and Sasha!"
