「We had a last minute change of plans and I needed to find suitable accommodation for my family of 4. I came across the 'Garden House' in my initial search and compared 5 other similar solutions. None measured up and that was only based on the images. The pictures undersold the property, utterly. The Garden House became a serendipitous highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. The location, setting, layout, preparation, standards, provisions were are excellent. The setting within Oxenford Castle...

「An excellent property to rent outside of Edinburgh. Perfect for dogs and families. The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back.」

「Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. 」

「A quiet apartment but very close to Castle, Grass Market and many of Edinburgh top sites. Shower is a little small but Definitely recommend.」

「We wanted to take our parents back to an area we love with fond memories and that of course was Fife. We needed a cottage big enough for four, spacious and all the essentials. Sleeping six, we found it in Kilconquhar, a short throw from Elie, Anstruther, even St Andrews and yet peaceful enough to sit on a night and read a book. Two bathrooms/toilets, a dining area more than adequate and of course a big enough kitchen to practice ones favourite pastime! What was there not to like?」

「Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips.」

「Quaint More than adequate for two people. Would have given a higher score but i thought with a B&Q i was disappointed that there was no private garden. Floor mats and carpets were a bit shabby but everything else was lovely and the central heating and the most comfortable of beds made it very cosy stay Thank You」

「Beautifully furnished, efficient apt. Close to everything on the Royal mile. Nice view of the Castle from the window. Easy to pick up transportation at this location too. Excellent customer service, super helpful & knowledgeable.」
