"Everything was excellent, from caring staff, property condition and food. Please note that there is no lift, but they take your bags up and down (2-4 floors). Free coffee/tea in their cafe/bar. Onsen was also very good. Room was spacious and we were allowed an early check-in. Highly recommended if you are visiting Chuzengi. Take care driving up the winding road during winter."

Well, it doesn’t matter with this property cause you’re winning on all 3. Quiet location at the end of summer/beginning of autumn, room size was good, room was clean, bed was fairly comfortable, bedding was great (the best pillows of the 8 hotels I’ve stayed in Japan).
