"We had a great stay here. Beautiful grounds. Always lots to do! We enjoyed the à la carte restaurants. The buffet was ok. You can always find something to eat and won’t go hungry."

"The rooms were not very good; there weren’t enough outlets. Some weren’t working, and it wasn’t very clean. We didn’t get full sheets. Only a blanket was provided. The food was terrible. I’ve been to an all-inclusive resort in the DR, and I understand buffet food. It’s not going to be the best, but some of the food was actually terrible, and I’m not a picky eater. The only good thing about the resort with the staff was very nice and the beach was beautiful. But I would choose a different resort 100%."

"Most was great. Two complaints. Lack of food options for breakfast and lunch. Had a hard time getting someone to fill fridge. Went three days with empty fridge and room service."

"Let me start this review by saying that we have stayed at Majestic Elegance multiple times and it has always been our go to resort, but we were so disappointed after our stay at Mirage. There were so many little things like not getting a crib until 9 pm on our first day after asking multiple times, not having towels and it being almost impossible to get them, our swim out room being completely different than advertised on the website.. and other things like that. But the biggest issue was having a very expensive item stolen out of our room by a staff member. Unfortunately our safe broke and we put off reporting it and it was stolen right out of it within a few hours. While my husband was at the police station, another person from the same resort was there who had something stolen out of his LOCKED safe. Stupid on our part for not reporting, but the real issue is how it was dealt with by staff after. Security came right away but it took THREE DAYS for me to even get a conversation with the manager. Not even a simple call to see if there was anything they could do, not one update on what was going on. The lack of communication was truly so disappointing and made us feel like we didn’t matter at all to them. In the end, they confirmed that the housekeeping staff were the only ones who went into our room but there was nothing they could do to prove it. Our butler Ceaser was the only one who was truly helpful! We are home now and still waiting for the update we were promised. :("
