The room was clean. The staff was wonderful. Johnny Solano was the most amazing host. He made our stay absolutely great. They have 4 pickle ball courts. He got us the equipment to use when everyone else, didn't have a clue as to what we were wanting to play. Not surprising being in another country where it is not a well known sport. Johnny also scheduled all our reservations for the restaurants and helped with the bell hop for our luggage to be picked up from the room to the lobby for our return trip home. The hotel didn't really explain the difference between a standard stay and paying for the Diamond club stay. I only caught the pool side cabana on the website. Which was to be reserved and additional charge and that didn't seem worth the cost and after being there I felt I made the right choice. Pool had plenty of lounges and so did the beach. All an all wonderful place to stay.

I stayed at Royalton Chic Punta Cana from Dec 25–Jan 4 with my partner, and overall we had a fun, easygoing stay with a few quirks along the way. The resort leans a bit more tired chic than full glam these days, but the service really helped balance things out. Johnny, our butler and highlight of the trip, handled everything from restaurant bookings to sourcing medication with calm, friendly efficiency. Staff across the resort were upbeat, helpful, and kept our room spotless — complete with adorable towel art that honestly had more personality than I did before my morning coffee. The vibe was relaxed and never too wild. Evening entertainment was fun, and daytime activities (especially the foam parties) were great to watch from a safe, dry distance. The buffet had tons of variety, and the spa was a standout — our couples retreat with champagne, exfoliation, massage, and facial was pure bliss. Of course, a few quirks: the resort is showing its age, upselling was constant, and our room had some “character” — a dead landline, inconsistent hot water, a broken TV (quickly replaced), and no outlet on one side of the bed, which led to a very creative extension‑cord solution. The hot tubs at both the pool and spa were out of service, and shade/loungers were limited at peak times. Overall, a good stay with great service and a chilled vibe — just expect a mix of comfort with a few quirks along the way.

Our room had a lot of issues, including our shower head almost falling off and flooding our bathroom. We also didn't have a safety latch on our door so one afternoon two different staff members just walked into our room while we were inside sleeping which was very off putting. The buffet was ok. There was a lot of options but everything that was supposed to be warm/hot was cold. The restaurants were nice and I did like their food more but I did notice that the later your reservation was, the slower the service. Also, a lot of the restaurants were out of food which shouldn't happen considering they aren't that busy. Also, it was extremely hard to get a reservation through the app. We ended up doing them all at once through the conceriege but that isn't given as an option at check in. The people/workers were very nice. The spa was also incredible. If the whole resort was more like the spa then it would be an amazing place to stay. Also, i felt like I was constantly getting random phone calls to my hotel room which was odd since we never requested anything. Also, when we first got into our room it was very obvious that it was not ready for people. We only had two towels, the floor in the whole room was grimy, and our bathroom wasn't stocked with any soaps or anything that you get. This resort is okay, but there is a lack of attention to detail. I had a good time considering all of these things, but I won't be returning and I won't be recommending this place.

Just returned from 6 nights there and had a wonderful time! The staff was incredible, and our butler, Johnny, made our stay so easy with getting us reservations every night! We stayed in 8315, and I would definitely recommend that room for the ocean views!

I first stayed at CHIC in march 2025 and loved it, that’s why I came back. But this time around, very disappointed! A lot of the staff seems new, needs training. The hotel needs maintenance; had to change room due to really bad smell in the bathroom. Food at restaurants came out cold, and at the Steakhouse, you have to pay for the best steaks, even though we were part of the Diamond Club. Do Not do Diamond, not worth it! Great service provided by Olvin and Greicy, they go above and beyond to get you what you need.

We really enjoyed the service of a personal concierge. The guy that was attended as his name is Johnny was involved and beyond to help me with my reservations and answer all questions that I have about my stay.

The hotel is very outdated, public area washrooms were not in working conditions, the showers on beach area exist were not working, guests were stepping in pools to wash the sand off. The pool filled with sand. The a-la-carte restaurant had poor service and the food wasn’t even close to taste of the menu. For example: at Indian restaurant was serving rissotto ! That was basically thick as rice pudding. Very sad! By pool area, i was literally chasing down some service for pool side bar service . I spent my holiday walking to get my own drinks. Considering I paid premium price for Christmas holidays, and considering its an adult’s only, it was mediocre! I absolutely do no recommend this Royalton Chic to anyone. It’s a waste of money. I spent $11,000 for 3 adults, 5 day stay. And was very disappointing hotel. Even I had concierge personal service throughout my stay. My concierge name was Johnny Solano, and did a good job in booking my dinner and spa reservations, and brought me a hot water kettle for my night tea time. Thank you Johnny for your services and care. But Royalton Chic hotel was not an organized or good service hotel.

Great food options, fun pool area, great beaches and an all around safe feeling with this resort. I'd like to say Franciso was the hardest work guy I saw there!! He helped me with a Cabana and that was a great day in the cabana!! "Muchas Gracias " Francisco!!! Now Johnny was next level amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better Expedia Ambassador, he made our stay amazing and was super helpful!! I give Johnny 100/10, he exceeded all expectations!! Muchas Gracias Johnny!!!

Great resort, amazing food, friendly staff, clean and safe. Rey who was part of the entertainment was a lot of fun and gave his everything every night!! The Expedia Ambassador Johnny was amazing!! he was super helpful and made my everyday a good one. With getting dinner reservations, to asking how our day was and keeping in touch to make sure we where having fun. I give Johnny 100/10...he made our vacation that much better..."Muchas Gracias" Johnny!!!

When we got there we met Johnny, who was our Expedia ambassador, he showed us our room and gave us a quick run down of the resort. Daily Johnny would check up on us and make sure we had dinner reservations every night. Johnny made sure we had lots to do and was always making himself available when we needed something. Johnny even made sure we had sandwiches for the trip home as we had to be at the airport at 3:30am. Johnny made our vacation that much more memorable. I give Johnny 100/10 he was just that great!! Again Thanks Johnny!!!

Our butler Omar was amazing, as well at the bar manager Daniel Montero. They went above and beyond to make our stay something we will always remember. The New Year's Eve party was a blast and our special dinner for the evening was perfection.

Room was cold…no welcome drink…I didn’t see or hear from my butler half the trip…diamond lounge should be bigger…the dining hall was too small & seemed to be crowded…the food selection was limited…long waits at the restaurants as well (Hunter & Vespa)

I had a view of the parking lot, the room was small and dated not liike the other Royalton ive stayed at peeling paint and no elevators luckilyIwason the 2nd floor... breakfast was terrible i usually look forward to the breakfast buffets but this was by far the worst. And that older lady at the omelet station had the worst attitude everyday dam day geesh why! The bar staff at all the bar and restaurants were amazing and so polite no waiting well besides the steak house and the food still came out cold smh! Waiter at the pool were on top of it! Oh yes my room came with a butler thanks expedia greatly appreciated but the butler Johnny was terrible was of no help saw him twice in my 5dys not even to say bye at checkout his loss i tipped well!! I also had spa services which was amazing! My favs MARCO POOL BAR, MANUEL SPORTS BAR AND A FEW OTHER I FORGOT THE NAMES A WEEK LATER SORRY!! OH COFFEE SHOP HAD THE BEST CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICHES EVER LOL!! IT WOULD HAVE TO BE SOMETHING GOING ON THERE FOR ME TO BOOK THAT RESORT AGAIN LIKE SOMEONES BDAY OR WEDDING LOL... BUT I MET SOME AMAZING PPL!!
