「Lift not working, stairs dirty and stairwell smelly, Bath overflow and shower glass plastic fitting dire. Bathroom fan didn't work Photos on Expedia and hotel web site not current, show hotel many years ago. Wood rotting around bedroom window frames at bottom, false balcony rusted. Front entrance had cigarette butt's beer cans and bottles littering it. Very upsetting」

「Our Cosy Double was as advertised -small but well furnished and equipped with everything you could need. It was very clean. We had a lovely view of the extensive gardens. The breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice and freshly prepared and great service too. We also had a meal in the bar and that too was very good. 「We booked The Relais Cooden beach via Expedia particularly for its location and spa facilities. We had booked the "Cosy double room" because that was all that was left. On arrival we tried to book spa treatments but there were no available bookings during our three night stay. This was disappointing as there was no mention on the Expedia website that you needed to book in advance. Apparently, guests who booked directly with the hotel enjoyed free use of the spa whereas booking through Expedia...
